DAY 1 SYDNEY TO THE HUNTER VALLEY (200kms)
Pick up your rental car this morning drive north from Sydney into the Hunter Valley Wine Country, the oldest wine-growing region of Australia. Here you can experience the art of wine making, with over 50 wineries to choose from. Your accommodation in the Hunter Valley is The Olive at Pokolbin. Legend has it that the Olive Tree offers life, food and protection and is a symbol of joy, peace and happiness. The olive is a private country house set on 45 tranquil acres in the heart of the vineyard area of Pokolbin in the beautiful Hunter Valley. A gentle stroll to the end of the lane leads you to wine and cheese tasting rooms, a golf course, and some of Pokolbinís finest restaurants.

DAY 2 HUNTER VALLEY TO COFFS HARBOUR (400kms)

Continue your drive north today through Port Macquarie to Coffs Harbour. Coffs Harbour, is the banana country and is a nature lovers dream. Nestled in the foothills of the Great Dividing Range where the mountains literally reach down to touch the ocean. Your accommodation is at the exclusive Waterside Guesthouse, a Mediterranean/European manor in which rooms are individually crafted. The Waterside has been designed by its owners on their 10-acre property near Coffs Harbour, to feature the natural estuary on two sides. They have included a tropical swimming pool, half-sized tennis court, dinghies, guest library and a walk-in wine cellar where discerning diners may choose at leisure to complement the excellent daily menu. The Waterside is a great place to stay and dine in a warm and pleasant atmosphere.

DAY 3 COFFS HARBOUR TO BYRON BAY (250kms)

Follow the Pacific Highway through Grafton and Ballina to Byron Bay. Cape Byron is the most easterly point of the Australian coast, and has some of Australia is best beaches. It also offers spectacular rainforest clad hinterland. Your accommodation for tonight is the Historic Rosewood House, a beautifully restored and decorated Victorian home within minutes of the surf, sun and beautiful beaches. Travellers are welcomed with an afternoon tea try and in the evening pre-dinner drinks and local cheese tray. DAY 4 BYRON BAY TO BRISBANE (180kms)

The final leg of your journey today will take you across the New South Wales border into Queensland and arrive at the Gold Coast. The Gold Coast is Australia is premier beach resort area. Continue on to the River City and Capital of Queensland Brisbane where you will return your hire car and connect with your departure flight.
